Analysis of the IESTA Researchers Network

Abstract

The present work constitutes a first advance in the work elaborated to obtain a first visualization of the body of researchers at Instituto de Estadística (IESTA) Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Administración (FCEA) de la Universidad de la República through the Analysis of Social Networks (ARS). The objective of this work is to generate a partial diagnosis of the IESTA researchers' way of working, generating a very important input for the current IESTA Strategic Plan. Different networks will be sought according to the different characteristics of the researchers in terms of the visibility of their different academic profiles (Cvuy, ORCID, ResearchGate and Publons) and part of their bibliographic production under the formats of articles, books, working documents, proceedings, presentations at FCEA academic conferences, presentations at academic conferences external to FCEA, and tutorials for final year projects or postgraduate theses. Finally, the code and data used to carry out the analysis are made available to readers in a public domain repository so that it is reproducible (see \url{https://gitlab.com/iesta .fcea.udelar/red-de-investigaci-n-del-iesta}).
