Inhibiting Corrosion of X60 Steel in Natural Seawater by Ascorbic Acid

Abstract

The work  presented in this abstract focuses on the étude of  the inhibitory  activité of a naturel organic comprend (ascorbique acide )  for steel X60 (pipeline) in a marine envirement by gravemitric and electrochemical  methodes. The obtained  results  Shoes that adding of ascorbique  acide to the corrosive  medium  significantly  slow down the corrosion  process and that the maximum  inhibitory  effeciency of up to 77% is obtained  for concertation  of 0.05 g/L of the inhibitor.
