Abstract

This article talks about a unique change in Votic language, described by P. S. Pallas in 1787, and not shown in any other Balto-Finnic language. This change is also not registered in Votic dialect dictionary, but has an areal origin. A similar areal change happened in both Votic and Livonian languages.
