Abstract

The revised eIDAS 2.0 Regulation of 2024 creates the framework for the future European Union Digitial Identity Wallet. This is intended to create a uniform digital identity for EU citizens from 2026. The paper analyzes the key components of this new technical architecture and presents a feasibility study to issue electronic learning certificates for the European Union Digital Identity Wallet.
