Inventory Information System of Goods at Smk Al Islam Surakarta

Abstract

In an agency there is a system to facilitate the management of data and information, one of which is an inventory information system. At this time the system is of primary interest because the existence of this system can provide positive effects and impacts for agencies. Al Islam Surakarta Vocational School is one of the SMK in Surakarta City. Whereas in inventory management the manual method is being used, namely data collection using Microsoft Excel. The problem that occurs is that there are difficulties in terms of management, borrowing of goods, monitoring of inventory of goods and reporting that they do not have a special platform. To facilitate inventory management, a website-based inventory information system is needed so that it can help facilitate the management and monitoring of inventory activities at SMK Al Islam Surakarta. The method used is to use the prototype method starting with gathering requirements then starting to build and design prototypes, evaluating prototypes, starting system coding, testing the system, evaluating the system then using the system. The author utilizes the PHP programming language and MySql database and creates a website using the codeigniter 4 framework. The research aims to provide convenience in inventory data management, inventory monitoring processes, and borrowing inventory items with more structured and organized data. Based on the results of blackbox testing and beta calculations, it is obtained that 80% Strongly Agree, and 20% Agree. So by calculating the test it can be concluded that the inventory information system can be accepted by users and is capable of being used as an inventory management system at SMK Al Islam Surakarta.
