Prototypes of Interoperable Software Components for the Visualization of Patient Anthropometric and Vital Signs Information as a Complement to Electronic Medical Records.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to develop a prototype of interoperable software components for the graphical visualization of medical records on web platforms. This is taking into account that the various health care providers collect information from their users on a daily basis. Starting in 2019, the project began with the project to start the adaptation of information systems for the implementation of the interoperability model of the Electronic Health Record. And as of last year, Resolution 866 of 2021 was signed and issued, "whereby the set of clinical data elements relevant to the interoperability of the clinical history in the country is regulated". According to the above, in the medium term it is necessary to advance in interoperability issues and the use of graphic views of this information to be able to analyze easily with historical data, in order to determine the possible actions to be taken in relation to their patients. With the patients' medical records it will be possible to present them graphically and taking into account the parameters suggested in resolution 866 of 2021 and 3280 of 2018 issued by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Social Protection and the Ministry of Information Technologies. For this prototype, API's will be implemented so that the software components can be easily embedded within web platforms showing patient information with graphical views in a dynamic way.
