Abstract

Experiential learning, essential in the academic training of students related to science and engineering, has been affected today by adverse situations such as the COVID-19 pandemic and other events that have forced distance education as an alternative solution. Therefore, a system of mechanics laboratories based on remote control for equipment configuration and data collection for three plants is proposed, that experimental set up corresponds to the same number of physical phenomena observed in nature and which, as a real experimentation approach, are susceptible to noise and measurement uncertainty. With the implementation of the Internet of Things approach, complemented with the necessary hardware and software technological devices, a complete client-server interaction system was developed, this system can be established as an alternative of experimental learning in a virtual way.
