Abstract

One of the priorities in the educational process today is the search for formulas to improve student involvement, making them an active actor in their learning process. One of the possibilities that are being used is the involvement of the student in the evaluation itself. This work presents an experience carried out at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, in a programming subject, in which a peer evaluation methodology has been applied together with a contest, based on a group practice. The results of the grades have been analyzed, comparing them with those of the teacher, besides studying the opinion of the students and the relationship with the grades obtained.

Keyphrases: active learning, computational thinking, Gamification, Peer to peer evaluation
