Proposal of an IoT Architecture Based on Remote Database for the Development of a Health Smart Home System Using Physical Programming Platforms

Abstract

The demographic growth of the elderly, the physical limitations caused by time and the desire of this part of the population to maintain autonomy in their daily activities, brings with it a concern on the part of family members to maintain the safety and quality of life of their loved ones. Faced with these situations, a solution is proposed that is capable of maintaining freedom, without neglecting the care required by the elderly. For this, an unconventional IoT architecture based on a remote database is proposed, applied to low-cost, scalable smart home solutions that support different types of sensors, in order to monitor events that may present risks to the elderly in their homes.
