Regional Helix '22: Regional Helix '22 - Fostering Regional Development and Resilience in a Changing Environment University of Aveiro Aveiro, Portugal, November 24-25, 2022

The Regional Helix conference focuses on research topics related to innovation, entrepreneurship and regional development, with the aim of encouraging the sharing of scientific advances by young and experienced researchers, as well as raising awareness of policy-makers and industry. Currently, territories and communities face pressing challenges caused by COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, in addition to the recent Russian war on Ukraine, which is affecting world economies with unforeseen impacts on local communities. Therefore, it is essential to rethink how regions, companies and communities can overcome these challenges and, thus, recover and renew themselves in order to continue their growth and development path. 

The 7th Helix Regional Conference will bring together researchers and policy makers capable of making relevant contributions in areas related to regional development and resilience, allowing a better understanding of the current context, which may enable the design a promising future.

Submission Guidelines

Extended abstracts (six pages maximum), written in English, whichever the spelling, must be prepared using a Microsoft Word Template (you may find the submission guidelines and template here). After completing the Word document, save it in PDF, and upload it to Easychair.

• Notification of acceptance: September 25, 2022 September 30, 2022

List of Topics

The Regional Helix’ 22 conference will help to shed light on the different aspects of regional development. Therefore, we welcome research on themes such as helix systems, regional development, management and tourism. The conference topics are organized around the following six main themes (see the full list here):

• B - Entrepreneurship and helix ecosystems 
• C – Digital transitions 
• D – Green transitions 
• E – Transformative planning and place-based development processes 
• F – Management and governance of heritage and tourism 

Venue

The conference will be held on the 24th and 25th of November at the University of Aveiro (Aveiro, Portugal).

Publication Opportunities
