The 2022 edition of the International Conference on Graphics and Interaction – ICGI’2022 – will be held on November 3 and 4, 2022 at the University of Aveiro, as a joint organization between the Department of Electronics, Telecommunications, and Informatics (DETI), the Department of Communications and Art (DeCA) and the Eurographics Portuguese Chapter (GPCG).
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to submit contributions to ICGI’2022 and attend the event. The Scientific Program will include presentations of long and short papers, invited plenary presentations and a poster session.
In addition to the usual conference track of full and short papers, and posters, we will have presentations of papers accepted to a special section of the Computers & Graphics Journal. This special section has its own call for papers, which can be found in https://gpcg.pt/icgi2022/cag-ss-ragi/
Submission Guidelines
Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts reporting scientific work, experiments, or applications to the conference.
The official languages of the conference are English and Portuguese. Papers written in Portuguese must also include the title and abstract in English.
The following paper categories are welcome:
- Full papers: up to 8 pages
- Short papers: up to 4 pages
- Posters: up to 2 pages
Papers should be formatted according to the instructions available at: IEEE formatting instructions and should not present any information that identifies their authors – double blind review. References to papers by the same authors should be indicated as [BFRP].
The posters should be designed as A0 portrait orientation and should be accompanied by a text, in the same format as the papers, with a maximum of 2 pages, to be included in the conference proceedings.

Publication
Accepted conference papers will appear in the ICGI’2022 digital proceedings. Similar to previous ICGI editions, the necessary procedures for the provision of long papers in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library are being developed.
After the event, the best conference papers will be selected and their authors invited to submit extended and significantly revised versions to the International Journal of Creative Interfaces and Computer Graphics (IJCICG).
Venue
The conference will be held in the University of Aveiro. The conference is expected to occur as an in-person event, but will be prepared to allow remote participation if necessary due to sanitary conditions.
