The International Conference on Applied Nonlinear Dynamics, Vibration, and Control (ICANDVC-2023) is aimed to provide a high-quality academic exchange platform for the most recent multi-disciplinary advances in the areas related to applied nonlinear dynamics, applied vibration analysis and control, applied control systems theory and methods. ICANDVC-2023 will be held from December 4 to 6, 2023, in the City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, China. Several known scholars would be honorarily invited for keynotes and there would also be several invited sessions focusing on some hot topics.
Submission Guidelines
Authors must indicate the session number in the title as follows in the initial submission, if they prefer to a specific invited session:
IS01: Control of nonlinear vibration systems with bio-inspired structures.
We accept two types of submission as follows:
• Extended long abstract (for conference exchange only);
• Full conference paper (for being included in conference proceedings).
Authors should submit papers reporting original work that are currently not under review or published elsewhere. Accepted full papers will be published in the conference proceedings. Submissions for full papers must be no less than 11 pages and not exceed 15 pages (including citations) in the given format. We encourage authors to cite related work comprehensively, and when citing conference papers please also consider to cite their extended journal versions if applicable.
ICANDVC 2023 will employ double-blind reviewing process, every research paper submitted to ICANDVC 2023 will undergo a “double-blind” reviewing process: the PC members and referees who review the paper will not know the identity of the authors. To ensure anonymity of authorship, authors must prepare their manuscript as follows:
• Author’s names and affiliations must not appear on the title page or elsewhere in the paper.
• Funding sources must not be acknowledged on the title page or elsewhere in the paper.
• Research group members, or other colleagues or collaborators, must not be acknowledged anywhere in the paper.
• Source file naming must also be done with care, to avoid identifying the author's names in the paper's associated metadata. For example, if your name is Jane Smith and you submit a PDF file generated from a .dvi file called Jane-Smith.dvi, your authorship could be inferred by looking into the PDF file.
It is the responsibility of authors to do their very best to preserve anonymity. Papers that do not follow the guidelines here, or otherwise potentially reveal the identity of the authors, are subject to immediate rejection. Because of the double blind review policy, the submission of an extended version of a short paper which has published elsewhere is strongly discouraged in ICANDVC-2023.
Please use one of the following templates for the given format:
- LaTeX2e Proceedings Templates (zip)
- Microsoft Word Proceedings Templates (zip)
- Microsoft Word 2003 Proceedings Templates (zip)
- Extended Long Abstract Templates (zip)
Any submitted paper violating the length, file type, or formatting requirements will be rejected without review. For any problems with the submission system, please contact the publication chair directly.
List of Topics
Interdisciplinary research and development are the general trend in nowadays science and technology progress involving synthetic efforts of researchers and engineers from various backgrounds. ICANDVC is such an academic platform with an enthusiastic aim to provide a high-quality academic exchange of the most recent advances in the areas related to nonlinear dynamics, vibration analysis and control, energy harvesting, structural health monitoring, control systems theory and methods, robotics, and their engineering applications. The conference will reflect the state of the art of applied nonlinear dynamics and control in academic and engineering practice and is an opportunity to exchange scientific, technical and experimental ideas in a multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary circumstance. Active and leading scholars in these related areas from EU, US, and Asia will be invited for keynote speeches and focused research topics, which are keen on R&D frontiers in the areas.
