The International Conference on Applied Education, Technology and Innovation
THEME: Applied Degree Education 5.0: The Shape of Things to Come
The Conference theme for 2022 is Applied Degree Education 5.0: The Shape of Things to Come. The Conference aims to profile and enhance the contribution of applied educational practice and research particularly in the applied degree sector as it relates to its integration with industries, the professions and the future of work. Increasingly, institutions across the applied degree sector are addressing and using new technologies and innovation as the triggers to transform higher education to ensure more fit for purpose outcomes in preparing students for the future world of work and life-long learning in a sustainable society.
It is anticipated that selected full papers submitted for conference presentation will be collated and published as an edited book in an independent volume of the Lecture Notes in Education Technology series, published by Springer. Full paper submissions that show case real world practices and outcomes with students and industry/agencies as partners are most welcome. The Conference will include keynote addresses, panel discussion, breakthrough case studies and paper presentations.
The International Conference on Applied Education, Technology and Innovation convened by THEi Hong Kong SAR (THEi AETI 2022) welcomes abstracts and full papers from academics, professional practitioners, industry and education entrepreneurs working to explore, innovate and practically address the nexus between applied degree education and the world of work. Of particular interest will be abstracts and papers that share the ways in which the sector is exploring Education 5.0 in response to Industry 5.0 with its focus on the interaction between humans and machines.
