Young Scientists and early-stage research in Data Science Workshop 2023 (YSDS-23)
The promotion of young researchers and early-stage research is a special focus of the “Data Science and Measurement” of the German Informatics Society. We aim at providing them a platform, consisting of experienced researchers and practitioners, to share and discuss their ideas and get early feedback. In addition, we want to attract any researcher in the domain to present their early-stage research to initiate intensive discussions of, e.g., research plans, study protocols, or intermediate research outcomes. Finally yet importantly, we encourage practitioners to share their findings, experience, and future challenges. The workshop shall provide the opportunity to build or extend networks and initiate collaboration.
Submission Guidelines
UPDATE:
We implement a two stage process. First, we call for abstracts (up to two pages) that are due 25.03.23. Please indicate in the title, the type of paper ( xyz - research plan, - study protocol, - early results, ...). Further, we would appreciate the use of structured abstracts (Context of the work, Objective of the research, Method applied to achieve the results, Results and Conclusions).Abstracts will be reviewed by members of the committee. Notifications will be sent out by 31.03.23. Submissions of abstracts will be handled through easychair https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ysds23.
For accepted abstract, we invite you to submit either a short paper (up to 2 pages, poster) or a long paper (up to 6 pages, presentation). The submissions will be reviewed for their eligibility to be come part of the proceedings. The deadline for this submission is 22.05.23. Notification is due, 20.06.23.
