The 2nd International Workshop on Social Communication and Information Activity in Digital Humanities (SCIA-2023) will be held in Lviv, Ukraine on November 9, 2023.
The workshop is organized by the Department of Social Communications and Information Activities of the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences of Lviv Polytechnic National University.
The scientific interests of the Department of social communications and information activity staff are at the intersection of computer and information technologies, social sciences, and humanities. The complexity of research on the systematic use of digital resources in humanitarian disciplines and their relevance dictate the need to exchange scientific information with representatives of domestic and foreign scientific schools to establish partnership relations with other departments, institutions, entrepreneurs, and representatives of the authorities.
SCIA-2023 workshop will be an online presentation by invited keynote speakers plus presentations of peer-reviewed individual papers. The papers which will not be presented at the workshop shall not be submitted to publication!
All papers for participation at the workshop should be submitted via EasyChair system.
Proceedings of the SCIA-2023 shall be submitted to CEUR-WS.org for online publication.

Submission Guidelines
Authors are invited to submit regular papers in English on the topics of the workshop. We solicit submission of the original paper, not previously published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
All papers for participation at the workshop should be submitted via EasyChair system in PDF format.
Paper formatting
Submission should be prepared using CEUR Template (download). The authors in the paper should give meaningful affiliations, which include the author’s organization, country, email and ORCID.
Paper requirements
Submitted publications must meet the requirements:
- Each paper should have at least one author with at least 5 papers listed in DBLP.org.
- No more than 2 papers from one author and no more than 6 authors per paper.
- The minimum length of a regular paper should be 10 pages.
- The paper structure should generally include Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Related Works, Methods, Results/Discussions, Conclusions, and References.
- The paper’s title should be brief and correspond precisely to the research results.
- The titles of papers should use the emphasizing capitalized style.
- The references should have an appropriate number and cover the modern results of international research published in the past 5-8 years. Authors should not refer only to a narrow circle of authors from their institution or several institutions.
- The citation of each source in the references must be substantiated. Self-citations must not exceed 20%.
- One cascade (group) citation should consist of not more than 3 sources. The use of cascade citations of more than 3 items will be considered as a low level of elaboration of the source base of the study and may be the reason for rejecting the paper.
- English must be proofread.
- The paper must follow the formatting rules. Please pay attention to the font size and style used for the paper title, section/subsection headers, and figure and table captions. Please, double-check the formatting style of the references.
- All references should be presented in English and, if essential, with notation (in Ukrainian), (in French), etc.
The quality of all figures should be high for good reproduction during CEUR publication. Caption signatures should provide all illustrative figures. All abbreviations should be preliminarily explained. The size of the letters and numbers in the formulas and the formulas’ fragments in the text should be the same.
