The Mid-Atlantic Microbiome Meet-up (M3) consortium brings together microbiome researchers from different sectors to discuss challenges, develop standards and best practices, and help connect data generators with data analysts. The goal of the 2021 winter M3 meeting is to bring together participants from academia, government (local, state, and federal), and industry to build connections and brainstorm ideas for potential regional initiatives in the microbiome space.
The meeting will entail a mixture of invited speakers, contributed “lightning” presentations, poster sessions. We are pleased to announce our keynote speakers: Dr. Yasmin Belkaid from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and Dr. Taylor Cohen from AstraZeneca. The meeting will also include break-out sessions meant to foster interaction and the exchange of ideas.
Breakout sessions will focus on topics such as: organizational structures that can support regional cross-talk between industry, academia, and government; effective implementation of microbiome-related clinical studies ; workforce development needs for the regional microbiome community; and others.
