Important Dates
- Submission deadline: July 31st, 2025
- Notification of acceptance: September 4th, 2025

About the Conference
The IsraHCI Research Conference brings together researchers and practitioners interested in the intricacies of the design, implementation, and evaluation of interactive systems. In its eleventh year, the conference is becoming the premier forum to present, discuss and experience novel interactive systems from a research-oriented perspective. We invite those interested in HCI – from industry and academia, from design, engineering, computer science, biomedical, psychology, education, and the UX community – to take part in this exciting event and contribute to the growth of the Israeli HCI research community.
The objectives of the conference are to:
- Create a bridge between academic research in HCI and those developing innovative interactive technologies in the Israeli industry;
- Contribute to the growth of Israeli research in human-computer interaction;
- Establish an inclusive community of Israeli researchers, allowing students to present work and enter the research area;
- Foster interdisciplinary collaborations.

Contributions & Submission Instructions
The conference is looking for four types of contributions:
- Published research papers – HCI papers published in leading international journals or conferences during the past two years. Authors submit their already accepted papers; a light selection (not peer-review) will ensure topic balance and timing constraints.
- Short papers – two-page (CHI format, excluding references) abstracts describing existing projects, work-in-progress, case studies, or student work not yet published. Chairs will decide whether each is presented as a short talk or as a poster.
- Demos – working prototypes of interactive experiences or products (academia or industry); described in a two-page document and presented in a dedicated demo session.
- Industry case studies – presentations highlighting design, development, research or evaluation aspects of UX/HCI industry projects; described in a one-page document and presented in a special session.
Submit via EasyChair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=israhci2025
Demo Guidelines
- Demos must be live prototypes (no videos only).
- Physical installations are preferred to on-screen demos.
- Demos should not be promotional in nature.
- A table and power are provided; all other equipment and staffing are the demonstrator’s responsibility.
Industry Case Study Guidelines
- Emphasise problem definition, design/development process, challenges and how they were addressed.
- Submit a one-page document including: team members, affiliations, project overview, user/customer definition, UX/interaction novelty, and bullet points of aspects to present.
- Visuals are encouraged, but the written description must stand alone.
