„New Challenges for ICT and Management“
Held in Hradec Králové, Czech RepublicSeptember 6th-8th, 2023 (Wed-Fri)
During the 30 years of their history, IDIMT conferences have established themselves as a truly interdisciplinary and international forum for the exchange of concepts, visions and experiences and results in the area of complex and/or software intensive systems. It discusses their impact, engineering, management, and application based on information and knowledge management, systemic thinking, business engineering, software development and related topics. IDIMT involves an international, interdisciplinary audience in discussing up-to-date and evolving topics. We are interested especially in these two aspects: how to apply, transform, and manage existing ICT, but also in new ideas or visions of how ICT or its management might work in the future.
The proceedings of the conference are published in the “Informatik” series of the "Universitätsverlag Rudolf Trauner, Linz, Austria" with an ISBN-number. The proceeding book is indexed since 2004 in Web of Knowledge and since 2012 also in Scopus. Best papers are offered publication in the “Information” journal after revision and extension.

Venue
The city of Hradec Králové, a natural regional metropolis, is located just one hundred kilometers east of Prague. The city of approx. 100.000 people, full of greenery, lies at the confluence of the Elbe and Orlice rivers. Its rich history goes deep into the past. The first mention of Hradec (Hradec castle) is in the forgery of the foundation document of the Opatovice monastery, which is supposed to have been written in 1073; in fact the document was created almost 100 years later and cannot be a simple description of an older document (because the King Vratislav II named in the document was crowned more than ten years later). In 1091, Hradec Castle is mentioned in Kosm's Czech Chronicle, written between 1119 and 1125. In 1225, the city (civitas) of Hradec is mentioned for the first time in a written document (contract), and not with the epithet Králové, which appears only from the 14th century. In the Middle Ages, Hradec Králové was the dowry city of Czech queens, especially Eliška Rejček and Eliška Pomořanská. From the 14th century, the city with a compact Renaissance historical core became a natural, military (the battle of Königgrätz, which took place close by, is named after the German name of the city) and politically influential center of the region with a high level of education and culture.
The city under the White Tower, one of the most prominent landmarks of the East Bohemian metropolis, also boasts other Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque buildings. Modern Czech architecture in the spirit of art nouveau and functionalism is the work of the world-renowned architects Jan Kotěra and his student Josef Gočár, whose remarkable urban concept inspires admiration to this day and was an inspiration for several generations of architects. It became the impetus for Hradec Králové to be called the "Salon of the Republic". The existence of three universities is also linked to the city, which every year provide thousands of students with the opportunity to get an education in a number of fields.
The conference will take place in the old Jesuit monastery (dissolved 1950) on the main historical square.
